Friday

Flat and overcast.

Hopefully not for long. The wave models are showing a nice setup coming from Leslie for upcoast next week. There’s always that chance we’ll get that swell window down here as she passes by the Bahamas.

Juno Pier 12:30 Update

Waves are ripple status. We have a light southern wind and it’s sunny. Skimming sunbathing and shell hunting seems to be the main attractions today.

Thursday

Back to flat.
That was a nice little run of waves we got from Isaac. All the galleries are up.
Wave models
are showing waves for this time next week from what is now 98L. It’s a long way off but we might get our window of waves down here if this forecast track holds. Even if we don’t get the slot swell, upcoast looks like a sure thing if the storms holds together.

Juno Pier 8:30 Update

Hoped for some Isaac leftovers, but there is none to be had. All mushy and less than a 1′. There is a nice breeze from the South and partly cloudy.

Juno Pier 3:00 Update

It has dropped off a bit, waves are 2′-3′ this late afternoon. Still fun out there, mostly breaking in shallow water. Had threat of rain, but it hasn’t rained yet. 20120828-162039.jpg20120828-160806.jpg20120828-160822.jpg20120828-160833.jpg20120828-160842.jpg20120828-160902.jpg20120828-160916.jpg20120828-160941.jpg20120828-160950.jpg20120828-161002.jpg20120828-161016.jpg20120828-161055.jpg20120828-161112.jpg20120828-161125.jpg20120828-161136.jpg20120828-161352.jpg20120828-161406.jpg20120828-161418.jpg20120828-161440.jpg20120828-161504.jpg20120828-161513.jpg20120828-161521.jpg20120828-161530.jpg20120828-161540.jpg20120828-161617.jpg20120828-161648.jpg

Juno Pier 10:30 Update

Calmed down much since yesterday, the waves are smaller (3′ to 4′),but very ridable. It’s still windy, but the waves are fun. The pier parking lot is closed so parking may be difficult today.20120828-104827.jpg20120828-104834.jpg20120828-104843.jpg20120828-104852.jpg20120828-104859.jpg20120828-104908.jpg20120828-104921.jpg20120828-104938.jpg20120828-104950.jpg20120828-105000.jpg20120828-105035.jpg20120828-105058.jpg20120828-105111.jpg20120828-105125.jpg20120828-105209.jpg20120828-105231.jpg20120828-105242.jpg20120828-105255.jpg

Tuesday Isaac Leftovers

Some fun leftover south swell from Isaac this morning. Most spots I checked in North Broward were breaking in the knee to waist high range.

Gallery’s are up from yesterday and Saturday.

Monday madness

Winds light off shore. Over head nugs. Still drifting.
