As we all travel the country on scooter, it becomes our means of finding the waves and meeting so many smiling faces. In the past 2 days we have searched and found a new spot, which I am not going to say anything more about. We also caught Keramas, Padang and some more Uluwatu. I swam at all of them and am still pretty unscathed from the reef unlike the rest of us. Matt paddled out at Padang last night as the Expression Session for the Rip Curl Padang Contest was nearly on, and was just called off at the last minute. Instead Rizal (aka “King of Padang”) put on a show for the all star crew of some of the best barrel riders in the world. Keramas was about 4 ft and produced a few good right barrels for all the regular foots on the trip. Matt and I are the only goofy foots in the land of lefts! The weather has been nearly perfect and we have only lost each other on every trip we go on with the scooters. Everyone seems to eventually find out stay and link back up with a good story on how they got lost or in Matt’s case a flat tire in the dark last night, where a local came to the rescue almost immediately. Today we head out again in search of waves in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
